  4.            Elektra wings thru
  5.      Illimitable
  6. White bird in it
  7.             far off
  8.              skimming
  9.       or a white plane skating
  10.               way down there
  11.     small shadow of it
  12.             sweeping
  13.             the shrunk landscape
  14.       disappeared now
  15.             into the great brown ground
  16.           as if fallen
  17.                    while its plane still flies on
  18.              miraculously!
  19. And Sunday Chicago appears
  20.                      at end of autumn carpet
  21.       stuck to great flat blue cloud
  22.                 of Lake Michigan
  23.                     stretched out
  24.       Rich resorts & Lakeshore fronts
  25.        beaches lapped forever
  26.            pavillions asleep in time
  27. Hum of Elektra winging down
  28.        wigging down
  29.    Seatbelts on
  30.           flaps down
  31.                swinging around
  32.            for re-entry
  33.                 into that world
  34.     Engine drones
  35.               like a tamboura
  36. Passage to India
  37.              on LSD Airlines
  38.      Temporary flight
  39.               of ecstatic insanity
  40.         into its own
  41.              glittering terminals
  42.                 pulsing with light
  43. Gliding down & down
  44. How calm all
  45. Still autumn forest
  46.             Golf-link in it
  47. Straightwayhighway into cloverleaf
  48.               cars crawling the petals
  49. Huge cemetery in brown woods 
  50.            Death itself only another
  51.                 lower form
  52.             of temporary ecstatic insanity
  53.      out of your skull
  54.              into the ground
  55. How soft the trees down there 
  56.            How very soft
  57.              from up here
  58.       We
  59.            could almost
  60.         bounce into them
  61.       soft landing
  62.             among the branches
  63. And so on down
  64.              into it
  65.       into the soft ground
  66.             illusion!
  67.   As if
  68.    as if we don't ever die
  69.     but become new burrowing consciousness
